A passionate woodworker and dedicated hands-on creator. He earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and currently doing his PhD degrees at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). He hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from ESDI/UERJ (2017).

In 2014, I participated in an academic exchange program at Nottingham Trent University, in England, through the Science Without Borders initiative, focusing on Furniture and Product Design. I later completed a postgraduate specialization in Furniture Design at IED Rio (2018), which deepened my exploration of materials and artisanal processes.
In 2023, I earned my Master’s degree in Design at ESDI/UERJ, within the research line Theory, Information, Society, and History, with the dissertation “The Role of the Designer in DIY Culture and Their Engagement in Maker Spaces in Rio de Janeiro.”
I began my PhD in 2024 at the same institution, where my research focuses on developing workshop-based teaching methods that integrate craftsmanship and entrepreneurship in product design education focusing on the actual economic and social situation in Rio de Janeiro. I am currently a visiting PhD researcher at the Politecnico di Milano, continuing to explore the intersection between craftsmanship, design pedagogy, and creative industry practices.
Fluent in English and with a basic knowledge of German and Italian, I aim to bridge practical making and academic inquiry, fostering a design education rooted in experimentation, autonomy, and material culture. ‎
