Dr. Giulio Ceppi

Architect and Designer, Studied at the SPD Scuola Politecnica di Milano and received the Ph.D. from Politecnico di Milano where work as researcher and professor.

In the year in 2005, Being professor at the interaction design institute Ivrea and in the Faculty of Architecture of Genova, Torino, Roma, as well as in the Università Cattolica di Milano, co-founded and directed the Master in Business Design of the Domus Academy.

His research focuses on sensorial development, materials and design and the development of new technologies, strategies, and identity.

Until 1997 Coordinates the DARC Domus Academy Research Center, and afterward join Phillips Design as a senior consultant.

In the year 1999 found Total Tool, a partnership of envisioning and design strategy, based in Milan and Buenos Aires. With Total Tool, he received two nominations for Compasso d’Oro, mention in the ICSID Hall of Fame and to prizes on the “Premio Nazionale per l’innovazione di Confcommercio”. Collaborate with different companies such as Auchan, Autogrill, Bhartyia, Coop, Deborah, Ikea, Luceplan, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Nike, PepsiCo, Pininfarina, Pirelli Re, SaporitiItalia, Viacom, Versace, Vertu, 3M and institutions like Archivio Disarmo, Comune di Milano, Federlegno, Torino 2006.

He has performed at different conferences and workshops in 25 different countries and has written various essays on design and the culture of the project.

Lives an work in Milan and on the Como Lake, where he was born in 1965.
